Collagen Induction Therapy
Microneedling is a procedure that uses small needles to prick the skin. This treatment generates new collagen and new skin tissue for an additional smoother, firmer, toned skin. Microneedling is mostly used on the face and may treat various scars, wrinkles, and large pore
Microneedling could help address many skin-related issues, such as: improving the appearance of acne scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, large pores, hyperpigmentation, as well as hair loss.
SkinPen® Precision by Crown Aesthetics is the first FDA-cleared device clinically proven to improve the appearance of wrinkles, of the neck and facial acne scars. The Skinpen is clinically proven safe and effective and is ideal for most patients including those who are not candidates for heat or chemical-based facial therapies. The Skinpen is perfect for clients that desire a more "natural" or "organic" approach using their own wound- healing collagen. There is also no downtime to this treatment which is great for clients who wish to go back to work and their life quickly.
How does it work?
1. Preparation: The skin is thoroughly cleansed, and a numbing cream may be applied to minimize discomfort during the procedure.
2. Microneedling: The SkinPen device, which consists of a pen-like handpiece with multiple tiny sterile needles, is gently moved across the targeted area. The needles create tiny punctures in the skin, which are typically not visible to the naked eye.
3. Stimulation of Healing Response: The controlled micro-injuries trigger the body's natural healing process. Collagen and elastin production increase, helping to improve the skin's texture, tone, and firmness. The procedure can also enhance the absorption of skincare products.
4. Post-treatment Care: After the procedure, a soothing serum or moisturizer may be applied to the treated skin. Sun protection and avoiding direct sun exposure are important during the healing process.
1. Skin Rejuvenation: Microneedling can help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation, leading to a more youthful and smoother complexion.
2. Collagen Stimulation: The controlled micro-injuries stimulate collagen production, improving skin elasticity, thickness, and overall quality.
3. Minimally Invasive: SkinPen microneedling is considered a minimally invasive procedure with little downtime. The treated skin may appear slightly red or have a mild sunburn-like sensation for a short period, but these effects typically subside within a few days.
4. Customizable Treatment: The depth of the microneedles can be adjusted to suit individual skin concerns, allowing for personalized treatment.
5. Versatile: SkinPen microneedling can be performed on various areas of the body, including the face, neck, décolletage, hands, and more.
